Reboot Hydration PDP teardown: 10 mobile CRO fixes
Reboot is an influencer-led brand driving the majority of its traffic from TikTok, built around a single core use case - bouncing back after a night of drinking. We pulled the Bender Mender PDP and rebuilt the mobile experience to land the value prop above the fold, unlock AOV through bundles, turn one-time buyers into subscribers, and replace the wall-of-text below the fold with scannable sections. Each numbered annotation flags one change, what it's meant to do, and why.

We audited Bender Mender product page (mobile) and found 10 issues costing conversion, AOV, and LTV. The biggest levers:
- Announcement bar burns prime space on a brand line instead of handling the biggest top-of-funnel objection.
- Image gallery skips the founder, creators, and 2-step system visual - the most important trust signals for influencer-led TikTok traffic.
- '1000+ reviews' reads as inflated, and tapping the stars scrolls to nothing - both quietly erode trust.
- No tiered bundles on a consumable: AOV is pinned to a single 20-stick pack size for every buyer.
Directional impact: Tiered bundles commonly add 15-30% to AOV on single-SKU consumables.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is this teardown?
An unsolicited CRO audit of Reboot Hydration's Bender Mender mobile product page. We identified 10 issues likely costing the brand conversion, average order value, and customer lifetime value, then mocked up the fixes we'd ship. It's the same kind of teardown we run for prospective clients - published publicly as a demonstration of how we think.
Is DTC Pages affiliated with Reboot Hydration?
No. We have no relationship with Reboot Hydration. Every observation in this teardown is based on publicly visible pages on reboothydration.com. The redesign is our professional opinion, not a statement about the brand's business or performance.
What's the single biggest conversion issue on the current PDP?
The image gallery. For an influencer-led brand driving traffic from TikTok, the most-viewed slot on the PDP should feature the creator or founder driving that traffic - instead it's all sterile product shots on blank backgrounds. Cold paid traffic arrives having just seen a person; losing that face at the landing moment breaks the continuity of the ad and erodes trust right when the shopper is deciding whether to keep reading.
Why swap 'Add to Cart' for 'Buy Now' on a single-SKU store?
The cart page exists to let shoppers review multiple products, adjust quantities, and decide whether to check out. On a one-product store, none of those jobs apply - the cart is pure friction, a stopover with nothing to decide that only adds a drop-off point. Buy Now + direct-to-checkout removes the step and pairs nicely with a live-price CTA so the number on the button is exactly what the shopper is about to pay.
How much would tiered bundles actually lift AOV?
It depends on the brand, but single-SKU consumables that move from a flat pack-size to a 3-tier selector (small / medium / large) typically see AOV lift in the 15-30% range. The mechanism is simple: many buyers will happily buy 2 or 3 kits if the per-stick price drops. Showing the per-unit price on each tier lets them do the value math themselves, which converts better than a flat discount percentage.
Why push Subscribe & Save as the default plan?
Subscription is the single biggest LTV lever on a consumable. Setting it as the default changes the choice architecture - instead of opting in to subscribe, the shopper has to actively opt out. Live savings updates and 'skip, pause, cancel anytime' copy defuse the lock-in objection most shoppers have when they see a subscription toggle.
Can I request a teardown of my store?
Yes. We run a teardown as the first step of every engagement - it's how we prove we can move the needle before you commit to a plan. You can book a call at dtcpages.com/contact and we'll put together a mobile-first audit specific to your PDP or landing page.
